The Heart of the Valley Homebrewers

In early 1995 Heart of the Valley Homebrewers submitted a request to the Oregon Department of Transportation to become a part of the Adopt-A-Highway litter program. We were accepted and in June of that year made our first pick-up along our assigned section of Highway 20, between Corvallis and Albany.

There were seven volunteers for that first outing. Since then we have hit the road quarterly for a total of 30 pick-ups and have gathered about 900 bags of trash! There is never a lack of volunteers and many of our members come out on a regular basis. HOTV is proud to do our part in helping Oregon maintain its reputation as one of the most beautiful states in the country. Litter patrols will be announced at monthly meetings and over the member email list.
